As of 8/26/09 the literate semi-fantasy wolf-roleplaying site Ambrose Mourning is officially open
August 26th: The site's first day, so here's the deal: we are in need of a graphics moderator [as you can most likely tell]. A Co-Admin will be selected later, once more people have actually joined. Anyhow, if you're new and interested in maybe becoming Head Graphics Moderator, PM me [Ambrose] and tell me about your skills in making graphics. Not a graphics person? That's okay, we're still glad to have you join and roleplay.

The Story Began

In the beginning, there was a single, united pack. Sidra had been the home to hundreds for as far back as anyone could remember, and its rein was supreme. Yet, despite the prosperity they enjoyed, some of the members were becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the values of their pack. There were some who believed that the pack was too indulgent, and that chastity and prudence should come before decadence and racousness. Eventually, the chasm between the two opinions became too great, and the newly formed group broke off from Sidra and formed their own pack: Zephire. Sidra never quite recovered from the blow, nor did their alphas' then unborn son Ambrose, who would later go on to become the Sidra alpha. Tensions between Sidra and Zephire have never been resolved in the past half-decade, but now they find themselves facing a much graver threat. A third group has begun forming, composed of outlaws exiled from both packs during the tumultuous recovery following the split. Currently this third pack is not yet organized enough to be a true menace, but it is gaining power slowly but surely. How will Sidra and Zephire, with all their differences, confront the Rebels?

It is the dead of winter, and yet it seems a mild one, for though there is snowfall nearly every day the temperature has not yet dropped below zero and there has yet to be a blizzard. The Sidra wolves are snug in their underground home, and the Zephire wolves are sheltered by the thick trees of their territory. However, things are not so easy for the Rebels, in their tundra-like conditions.
